MDCAT registration 2027
PMDC has not opened MDCAT 2027 registration and has announced no date or fee. In 2026 the window ran from 22 June to 13 July at the normal fee, with a late window to 18 July, on mdcat.pmdc.pk. Registration is per candidate, on the PMDC portal only, and the 2026 fee was Rs 9,000.
What is confirmed for 2027
- Date. Not announced. The 2026 test was held on Sunday, 20 September 2026, after PM&DC moved it from 16 August 2026.
- Registration window. Not announced. The 2026 window opened about two months before the first planned test date.
- Fee. Not announced. Take the 2026 rates as the last published figure and no more.
- Format. The 180-question format is locked. PMDC has not announced a different format for 2027. 180 questions, 180 minutes, one mark each, no negative marking.
- Syllabus. The Uniform Curriculum MDCAT 2025 Final is the latest published document. No 2027 change has been announced.
Registration, start to finish
The steps did not change between 2025 and 2026, and the 2027 notice is expected to follow the same shape.
- Make an account on mdcat.pmdc.pk. The portal opens when PM&DC publishes the notice. It asks for the CNIC or B-Form, an email address and a mobile number you can still reach on test day.
- Fill the application. Qualification, board, marks and one test city. In 2026 the city could not be changed after submission, so check it twice.
- Upload the documents. Scans at the size the portal asks for. A candidate awaiting an FSc result can apply on the expected result.
- Pay the fee. Through the channel the notice names, before the deadline that applies to it.
- Download the roll number slip. Print it. A screenshot on a phone is not accepted at the centre.

- CNIC, or a B-Form for a candidate under 18
- Matriculation (SSC) marksheet
- Intermediate (HSSC, FSc Pre-Medical) marksheet, or the IBCC equivalence certificate for A-Level or IB
- Passport-size photograph matching the PM&DC specification
- Domicile certificate, for the provincial merit list
- The paid fee challan or online payment confirmation

Registration questions
When does MDCAT 2027 registration open?
PM&DC has not announced it. The 2026 window opened on 22 June 2026 and closed on 13 July at the normal fee, with a late window to 18 July. If the 2027 test moves closer to the FSc results, as the federal health minister said in April 2026, registration would move earlier too, so watch PM&DC rather than a coaching page.
What is the MDCAT registration fee?
PM&DC has not announced a 2027 fee. The 2026 fee was Rs 9,000 at the normal rate and Rs 13,000 late for centres in Pakistan, and Rs 45,000 and Rs 55,000 for the international centre in Riyadh, all non-refundable. Treat those as the last published rate, not the 2027 rate.
Where do I register?
On mdcat.pmdc.pk, the PM&DC portal. Registration has opened on that portal every year. There is no third-party registration site, and no agent can register a candidate on their behalf.
Can I choose my test city?
In 2026 you chose one city when you applied, and the notice said the choice could not be changed afterwards. Candidates sat in their province or region of domicile. The 2027 rules have not been published.
How many questions is the MDCAT?
The confirmed format is 180 multiple-choice questions in 180 minutes: Biology 81, Chemistry 45, Physics 36, English 9 and Logical Reasoning 9. One mark each, no negative marking. PM&DC has not announced a different format for 2027.
Do I need the MDCAT to study medicine abroad?
PM&DC required it in 2026 and then withdrew the requirement in a notice dated 5 October 2026, after a parliamentary committee objected. The rule for 2027 is not published. If you plan to study abroad and later transfer to Pakistan, read the NEB transfer route as well.
