I have 40 minutes tonight. What should I do?

Your plan has a 45-minute Physics drill. You missed four Chemical Bonding questions in the last mock. I would swap it for a 30-minute Chemistry drill and add a 10-minute flashcard review. That is 40 minutes.

Study plan and review

A plan built from your week.

Tell the planner how many days you study, how many hours you have, and which subjects need the most work. A short diagnostic sets your starting point. The planner gives more time to the subjects with more exam marks, and it carries unfinished work into the next week.

A weekly plan that carries unfinished work

The plan uses your study days, your hours, your subject priorities and the diagnostic. If you miss a day, it carries the work forward. When the week cannot hold everything, it drops the task with the lowest exam yield. The working date is July 2027 (tentative). PMDC has not announced the 2027 date. The week below is a sample plan.

AKU has signalled a move toward the UCAT.

Four subtests, timed, with the scaled scores the UCAT reports.

Aga Khan University stated in its 2026-2027 MBBS admission information that it is likely to administer the UCAT from the 2027 admission cycle, for eligible applicants. The exact eligibility rules, the score requirement and the date are not yet published. Check AKU's current admissions page before you plan around the change.

MDCAT is still required. PMDC regulations make it compulsory for MBBS applicants, and AKU uses the MDCAT result for final selection. The UCAT would be an additional assessment, not a replacement for the national test.

All four subtests: Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Reasoning and Situational Judgement.

No negative marking: each question counts. Pace yourself, and skip a question that will take too long.

UCAT format

Computer-delivered at Pearson VUE test centres

Verbal Reasoning

Critical reading of written passages

44 questions in 22 minutes
Decision Making

Logic, probability and deductive arguments

35 questions in 37 minutes
Quantitative Reasoning

Numerical problem solving

36 questions in 26 minutes
Situational Judgement

Professionalism and clinical ethics

69 questions in 26 minutes

Total test time: 1 hour 51 minutes.

Scaled score: 300 to 900 on each cognitive subtest. Situational Judgement reports a band from 1 to 4.

Academy or self-study

An academy or self-study. Compare the structure.

An academy gives you a timetable, a teacher in the room and a fixed pace. Self-study with mymdcat gives you a plan you control, a question bank you can search and a record of every attempt. Academy fees vary, so ask the academy for its current fee. The MDCAT Pass is PKR 10,000 for one year.

Before you start

Questions we get asked.

What is free?
A free account gets 500 practice attempts, notes for 80 of 89 chapters, 14,062 flashcards, every 2026 paper and 10 SAGE questions a day. Each practice attempt includes a worked explanation. No card is needed.
What happens after the 500 attempts?
Practice pauses when the 500 attempts are used. The notes, the flashcards, the 2026 papers and 10 SAGE questions a day stay open. The MDCAT Pass removes the practice cap for one year.
Are the 2026 papers free?
Yes. Every 2026 paper is free in timed or tutor mode, with answers and worked explanations. A free paper does not use your 500 practice attempts. Some papers are partial, and each row shows the count recovered.
How many SAGE questions do I get?
Free accounts get 10 questions a day. The MDCAT Pass allows 20 questions an hour. When SAGE finds a matching textbook chapter, it names the board, subject, grade and chapter. It does not carry page numbers.
What can SAGE do?
SAGE explains questions, reads your notes and recent mocks, finds similar practice and checks past-paper evidence. It names the chapter when it finds one. When it finds none, it answers from what it knows and shows no citation. It can propose a change to your study plan, and it applies the change only after you confirm.
Is this a subscription?
No. The MDCAT Pass is PKR 10,000 once, for one year from activation. There is nothing to cancel. Pay by NayaPay or bank transfer, and we approve the receipt manually.
Do you have recorded lectures?
No. Study Zone links to public YouTube playlists, sorted by subject and chapter. We do not record lectures.
Is the 2027 MDCAT date confirmed?
No. The 2026 test was held on Sunday, 20 September 2026. PMDC has not announced a 2027 date. The planner uses July 2027 (tentative) as a working assumption, so treat planned dates as a guide, not an announcement.
Can I get a refund?
You can request a refund within 30 days. We review the account in good faith, usually within a few working days, and settlement takes 5 to 10 business days.
