MDCAT 2027
MDCAT 2027 is the next national PMDC test. The date and registration window are not announced. The confirmed format is 180 questions in 180 minutes, split Biology 81, Chemistry 45, Physics 36, English 9 and Logical Reasoning 9. The 2025 uniform curriculum is the latest confirmed syllabus.

The 180-question format is locked. PMDC has not announced a different format for 2027. One mark per question, no negative marking, 180 minutes for the whole paper. NUMS Paper-I keeps its own pattern: 150 questions in 165 minutes.
The 2027 date
PMDC has not announced a date. The 2026 test was rescheduled from 16 August to Sunday, 20 September 2026; the 2027 cycle has no equivalent notice yet. July 2027 is the assumption the study planner uses so it can build a calendar, not an official date.
Treat any coaching page that names an exact 2027 date as unconfirmed unless it links to a PMDC notice. When the notice exists, the date belongs on this page with the source, not in a countdown.
The syllabus
The latest confirmed document is the Uniform Curriculum MDCAT 2025 Final. No 2027 change has been announced. The MDCAT syllabus page lists the chapters and topics, and the past-paper archive shows which topics the papers actually reward.
Start with the chapters your board is teaching now. A first pass that follows the school year costs less time than re-learning everything in the last two months.
Registration and fee
PMDC has not published 2027 registration dates or a fee. The 2026 fee and portal are not a promise for 2027. When the notice appears, it will name the portal, the fee and the deadline; use that notice, not a screenshot.

How to prepare for 2027
- Build the first pass around your real week. The study plan starts from the days you actually study, then schedules every remaining topic before exam mode.
- Practise the chapter before you move on. The practice test page explains the difference between chapter practice and a full paper.
- Sit the first full mock after the first pass. A 180-question mock is a diagnosis. Before the first pass it mostly measures which chapters you have not opened.
- Use the papers as evidence. The past papers show the years, boards and topic counts; quote those numbers, not a feeling about what is important.
“Normal MDCAT” and NMDCAT
“Normal MDCAT” is usually a typo for NMDCAT, the National MDCAT. It is the same national PMDC paper described on this page; there is no separate normal exam. The NMDCAT page explains the name, the conducting universities and how it differs from NUMS, AKU and UCAT.

Is “normal MDCAT” the same as NMDCAT?
Yes. “Normal MDCAT” is usually a typo for NMDCAT, the National MDCAT: the same national PMDC paper described on this page. There is no separate normal paper, syllabus or result. NUMS and AKU run their own additional tests.
When is MDCAT 2027?
