MDCAT Aggregate Calculator
Estimate your medical college admission aggregate using the PMDC formula (10% Matric + 40% FSc + 50% MDCAT). Solve forward or work out the test score you need.
Academic Credentials
PMDC 10 : 40 : 50Official PMDC format: The MDCAT has 180 questions and 180 marks. Your MDCAT percentage is calculated as raw / 180 x 100, contributing 50% to your merit. The result is a planning estimate, not a seat guarantee.

What this estimate does not tell you
A higher aggregate does not guarantee a seat. Closing merit depends on the year, province, college and quota. Check the admitting university's latest merit list.

Official Weightage Formula
Medical and dental college admissions in Pakistan use the PMDC merit formula:Aggregate = (Matric% x 0.10) + (FSc% x 0.40) + (MDCAT% x 0.50)
The result is a planning estimate. It does not guarantee a seat. Closing merit depends on the year, province, college and quota.
Why MDCAT is Out of 180 Marks
The MDCAT has exactly 180 questions and 180 marks: Biology 81, Chemistry 45, Physics 36, English 9 and Logical Reasoning 9. Your test percentage is (score / 180) x 100. The 180-question format is locked. PMDC has not announced a different format for 2027.
Reference eligibility thresholds
- FSc Pre-Medical: 60% PMDC minimum; some colleges require more
- PMDC MBBS threshold: 55% in MDCAT (99/180)
- PMDC BDS threshold: 50% in MDCAT (90/180)
PMDC sets the MDCAT thresholds for each cycle. A college can set a higher FSc requirement, so check the prospectus.

Frequently asked questions about the MDCAT aggregate
The 50-40-10 formula, reference thresholds and method limits.
1How is the MDCAT aggregate calculated in Pakistan?
The national aggregate uses three weights: 50% MDCAT, 40% FSc (HSSC Pre-Medical) and 10% Matric (SSC). Formula: (Matric% x 0.10) + (FSc% x 0.40) + (MDCAT% x 0.50). The result is a planning estimate, not a guarantee of a seat. Check the admitting university for its current policy.
2Is MDCAT calculated out of 180 or 200 marks?
The MDCAT has 180 questions and 180 marks: Biology 81, Chemistry 45, Physics 36, English 9 and Logical Reasoning 9. Calculate your percentage as (your score / 180) x 100. A 200-mark divisor belongs to an older format.
3What are the minimum passing marks for MDCAT?
PMDC sets the qualifying marks. The threshold is 55% in MDCAT (at least 99 out of 180) for MBBS and 50% (at least 90 out of 180) for BDS. FSc requirements are set by PMDC and the admitting university. The PMDC minimum is 60%; a college can set a higher requirement. Check the current prospectus.
4How does the reverse aggregate target calculator work?
It takes your Matric and FSc marks and a target aggregate, then shows the MDCAT score out of 180 that the 50-40-10 formula would require. Use the result to plan a target score, not as a prediction of a seat.
5What closing merit should I aim for?
Closing merit varies by province, college, quota and year. Each admitting university publishes its own merit list. Use the most recent official list as a benchmark, not as a promise for the next cycle.
