What the merit trend shows
Our dataset records GMMMC MBBS open-merit aggregates of 79.40% for 2022, 80.85% for 2023, 78.80% for 2024 and 84.90% for 2025.
Every aggregate follows the Sindh formula: 50% MDCAT, 40% HSSC and 10% SSC. 1 The MDCAT scale moved from 210 marks to 200 marks and then to 180 marks across these years. 6 One percentage point is not one raw mark in every row.
The 2025 row stands 6.1 points above 2024. Treat that jump with care, because the test changed with the session. The 2023 row sits 1.45 points above 2022, and the 2024 row falls 2.05 points below 2023. The 2025 row is the highest of the four rows in the chart. Read the four rows as a range of about six points, not as one cut-off.
