What the merit trend shows

Our record gives the IMDC MBBS self-finance closing aggregate at 82.1% for 2022 and 83.55% for 2023. It then reads 83.6% for 2024 and 86.8% for 2025. The 2025 row sits 4.7 points above the 2022 row on our record. The MBBS direction therefore climbs in every session on record.

BDS sits lower on the scale. Its closing aggregate reads 79% for 2022, 80.3% for 2023, 81% for 2024 and 84% for 2025. The 2025 BDS row therefore stays 2.8 points below the MBBS row. The BDS climb follows the same upward path across four rows.

The college publishes its own weights: MDCAT at 50%, HSSC at 40% and SSC at 10%. 2 The MDCAT mark scale moved from 210 to 200 and then to 180 across these years. Compare sessions with care, because the same percentage does not mean the same raw score in every row. The national policy quoted on the SZABMU MBBS page sets the same three weights. 5

Admission process (MBBS and BDS via the IMDC portal)

IMDC handles its own admissions through a dedicated portal. The eligibility page carries the marks rules, the aggregate weights and the interview format. 27 ICT candidates sit the SZABMU MDCAT before they apply. 6 The SZABMU MBBS page also quotes the national policy for the cycle. 5 The college site carries an eligibility page for every applicant. 2 The interview then runs in person at the college. 2 Each step therefore runs on the college portal for the session.

  4. Register on the application portal at admissions.imdc.ac.pk and fill the form online. 7
  5. Build the aggregate the college publishes: MDCAT at 50%, HSSC at 40% and SSC at 10%. 2
  6. ICT candidates follow SZABMU MDCAT notices: admit card 14 September, answer key 20 September 2026. 6
  7. Prepare for the interview, which runs as an MMI with six to eight stations. 2
  8. Each station runs four to five minutes with one interviewer on campus. 2
  9. Station questions cover ethical decision making, communication and healthcare-system knowledge. 2

Common questions

How do I apply to IMDC?

You apply on the college portal at admissions.imdc.ac.pk rather than through a university portal. Register there, upload your records and follow the merit stages the college publishes. The interview then runs in person at the college as an MMI round. 27

How many seats does IMDC offer?

Our record gives 100 MBBS seats and 50 BDS seats. The eligibility page also states 100 seats for MBBS. The seat figures therefore split 100 for medicine and 50 for dentistry on our record. The college list adds physiotherapy, nursing and medical laboratory technology programmes. 12

What marks do I need?

The college asks for at least 60% in F.Sc and at least 55% in MDCAT. Foreign qualification holders need SAT-II at 550 in each subject or MCAT or UCAT at 50% in Biology and Chemistry. Both routes apply before the college ranks any applicant. 2

How is the aggregate calculated?

The college weights MDCAT at 50%, HSSC at 40% and SSC at 10%. It publishes those weights on its eligibility page and ranks applicants on the result. The same three weights feed the merit list the college publishes each session. The SZABMU policy page carries the national version of those weights. 25
