Closing merit history
Aggregate percentage for the last candidate admitted in each year. Public colleges report open-merit; private colleges report the self-finance pool.
What the merit trend shows
The MBBS open-merit closing aggregate rose in each of the last four sessions. It moved from 86.40% in 2022 to 87.95% in 2023, then to 89.05% in 2024 and 93.5439% in 2025. The 2025 value is the highest in the recorded series.
All four rows belong to the open-merit quota of the public sector, and the college fills its MBBS seats through the UHS admission. 15
UHS builds the aggregate from three parts: 10% SSC, 40% HSSC and 50% MDCAT. The prospectus rounds the final percentage to four decimal points, which explains the long 2025 value. 1
Read the rows with care. The MDCAT scale moved from 210 marks in 2021 to 200 marks in 2022 and to 180 marks in 2025. So one percentage does not equal one raw score in every row. 6
