Closing merit history
Aggregate percentage for the last candidate admitted in each year. Public colleges report open-merit; private colleges report the self-finance pool.
What the merit trend shows
The open-merit closing aggregate moved from 87.30% in 2022 to 88.75% in 2023. It reached 89.60% in 2024 and 93.7182% in 2025. The 2025 figure sits above the 2024 figure by more than four points.
UHS builds the aggregate from three parts: 10% SSC, 40% HSSC and 50% MDCAT. 4 Every value in this chart comes from the open-merit category of a public college. A candidate reports SSC, HSSC and MDCAT marks once. 4
MDCAT total marks moved from 210 to 200 to 180 across recent sessions, so one percentage is not the same raw score in every row. The UHS merit annexure works one example on a 200-mark scale and a second on a 180-mark scale. 4

Common questions
How do I apply to QAMC?
You apply through the UHS public MBBS portal, not to the college directly. Register online, list the college in your preferences, upload documents and pay the processing fee. 4 Women choose from up to 16 public medical colleges and men from up to 15. 4
What MDCAT score do I need?
The 2025-26 prospectus requires at least 55% in MDCAT for MBBS and at least 60% in HSSC Pre-Medical. MDCAT of 2023, 2024 or 2025 counts. 4 You also need a domicile of any district of Punjab. 4 An IBCC equivalence covers foreign HSSC qualifications. 4
How is the aggregate calculated?
UHS counts 10% of SSC marks, 40% of HSSC marks and 50% of MDCAT marks, then rounds the result to four decimals. 4 MDCAT total marks moved from 210 to 200 to 180 across recent sessions. 4 The same percentage therefore means a different raw score in every row. 4
Where does clinical training happen?
Clinical training happens at Bahawal Victoria Hospital beside the campus. The college history records more than 1,538 beds there. 1 Nawab Sadiq Khan Abbasi Hospital adds 410 beds to the clinical sites. 1 Civil Hospital Bahawalpur also takes students for clinical training. 7
