History and heritage
The story of the hospital runs deeper than the college. Multan Hospital opened in 1879 as part of the Indian Medical Service. 2 The hospital sat under the Lahore Zone of British Military Command from 1895. 2
During the First World War the hospital became the main referral military hospital of the region. 2 It kept an air-strip for war casualties, and that air-strip grew into Multan Airport. 2 The government renamed it Combined Military Hospital Multan in 1918. 2
The hospital served in the Second World War as well. 2 The Indian Army Medical Corps formed in 1943, and CMH Multan joined that corps. 2 New specialties grew inside the hospital after that. 2
After the creation of Pakistan, Major Hasan Din, the senior most Muslim doctor, took command. 2 The hospital moved to its present location and grew into one of the biggest hospitals of the Pakistan Army. 2 It runs FCPS postgraduate training in almost all specialties. 2
Our dataset dates the college to 2015. The principal message notes a span of almost nine years since the institute started under the stewardship of the Pakistan Army. 1 The site lists CIMS among NUMS affiliated colleges. 13 Our dataset marks the college as active in Punjab.

What the merit trend shows
NUMS builds the aggregate from three parts: 10% SSC, 40% HSSC and 50% marks in the NUMS entry test. 4 Every part enters the formula as a percentage of the marks you score. The NUMS advertisement states this formula for the armed forces colleges. 4
Our dataset records these closing self-finance aggregates. MBBS: 84.8% in 2024 and 87.9% in 2025. The MBBS value rose by 3.1 points from 2024 to 2025. BDS: 82.1% in 2024 and 85.2% in 2025.
Every recorded row carries the self-finance quota label. Compare sessions with care. The MDCAT mark scale changed between 2021 and 2025, so the same percentage does not mean the same raw score in every row.
