History

The Madinah Foundation built the college to widen medical and dental education for students in Lahore 1. The foundation sponsored the institution that carries the college 2. The foundation also runs Ali Fatimah Hospital. That hospital began in 2017 as a welfare project 2. It became the teaching hospital of the college after the college opened. The foundation runs the hospital as a non-profit body under Section 2(36) of the Income Tax Ordinance of 2001 2.

The Government of Punjab approved the parent university in 2020. The approval came by notification SO (Univ) 9-15/2019 dated 25 June 2020 2. The act behind it, Punjab Act 2020 (VI of 2020), received promulgation on 4 June 2020 2. AUMDC then became a constituent college of Green International University 12.

The Pakistan Medical Commission recognized Ali Fatimah Hospital as the teaching hospital attached with Abu Umara Medical and Dental College 2. The hospital holds registration with the Punjab Healthcare Commission. It also holds ISO 9001:2015 certification 2. The hospital offers free outpatient services with free medicines to patients in need 1. The recognition ties the hospital to the college by name.

UHS placed the college in its private-sector admission list for Punjab 3. That list carries the college website address. UHS also publishes the college merit list on its own site 5. The PMDC keeps the college on its list of medical colleges with attached teaching hospitals 4. The address in that list reads 9-Km, Main Raiwind Road, Bhobatian Chowk, Lahore 4.

Our record names the attached hospital Abu Umara Teaching Hospital and lists it at 450 beds. The college site calls the hospital Ali Fatimah Teaching Hospital. The site describes a 600-bed tertiary care hospital on Raiwind Road 12. Both names point to the same teaching hospital of the college.

Wikipedia lists the college under the private medical colleges of Punjab. It records 100 MBBS enrolment and no BDS enrolment for the college 6. Our record holds the history field at 2020, the year of the parent university.

What the merit trend shows

Our record holds two self-finance aggregates for this college. The MBBS closing aggregate moved from 80.20% in 2024 to 83.30% in 2025. Both rows sit on the self-finance merit list. UHS publishes the merit list for the college on its own site 5. The later row sits above the earlier row, so the closing score rose in the latest session.

UHS builds the aggregate from three parts: 10% of SSC marks, 40% of HSSC marks and 50% of MDCAT marks 3. Private-sector merit runs on the same formula as public-sector merit. Read each row as the score of the last applicant admitted to the college. A higher closing aggregate means more competition for the same seats in that session.

Compare sessions with care. The MDCAT mark scale changed between 2021 and 2025, so the same percentage does not mean the same raw score in every row.

Admission process (MBBS via UHS)

AUMDC admits MBBS students through the centralized UHS private-sector process. The college runs no admission process of its own. The steps follow the UHS 2025-26 private-sector admission notification 3. You apply on one portal, list your colleges there and follow one merit list.

  2. Open the UHS private-sector MBBS portal at private-mbbs.uhs.edu.pk 3.
  3. Register with your name, father or guardian name, email, CNIC or passport number and a password 3.
  4. Log in, choose the seat categories you hold, then enter your personal, educational and MDCAT details 3.
  5. Add Abu Umara Medical and Dental College to your preference list. A college outside the list is never considered 3.
  6. Upload attested result cards, domicile and CNIC files. Each file stays at or below one MB 3.
  7. Generate the Rs. 2,000 challan on the portal 3. Pay it at the Bank of Punjab or National Bank of Pakistan through 1Bill 3. Upload the paid receipt on the same portal 3.
  8. After the merit list appears, deposit Rs. 600,000 to the UHS account within three working days 3.
  9. Pay the remaining fee to the college. Mark joining or up-gradation on the UHS portal 3.
