What does private MBBS actually cost per year in Pakistan?

Everyone quotes different numbers. What is the real annual tuition for private medical colleges, and what hidden costs do people forget? My budget is about 2 million a year.

    The honest ranges:

    • Typical private MBBS tuition: PKR 1.2M to 2.4M per year. The top Lahore and Karachi privates sit at the high end; regional privates at the low end.
    • What breaks budgets is not the headline tuition: admission processing fees, hostel and mess (often 200-400k/year), university examination and registration dues, and tuition escalation clauses that raise fees each year of the five-year program.
    • Your 2 million/year budget covers most regional privates fully and some top-tier privates partially. Confirm the total five-year cost from the college's own fee schedule, not forum posts.

Financial aid that actually applies to medical students: HEC need-based, PEEF (Punjab domicile), Ehsaas undergraduate, provincial Qarz-e-Hasna, and AKU's own assistance. Apply in parallel with admissions, because several require an offer letter first.

The full economics, including the ROI math, is in this cost breakdown, and per-college fee summaries are in the directory.
