The FIA has arrested the principal of Fazaia Inter College over allegations of facilitating the MDCAT 2022 paper leak, which had reportedly been sold for PKR 2 to 5 million.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on 19 November 2022 arrested Shaheena Bashir, principal of Fazaia Inter College, over allegations of facilitating the MDCAT 2022 paper leak. The paper had reportedly been sold for PKR 2 to 5 million per copy in the days leading up to the test.

The arrest followed the Islamabad High Court's 16 October 2022 order for a fresh MDCAT and was one of the events that led to the dissolution of the Pakistan Medical Commission in August 2022 and the re-establishment of PM&DC under the PMDC Act 2022.
