PMDC allows 15% foreign quota seats for medical colleges
PM&DC has permitted public and private medical institutions to allocate 85% open-merit seats and 15% foreign-quota seats for the 2025-26 admission cycle.
15% foreign quota seats
PM&DC on 31 October 2025 issued a notification permitting public and private medical and dental colleges to allocate 85% of seats to the open-merit pool and 15% to a foreign-quota pool for the 2025-26 admission cycle. The quota applies to overseas Pakistanis and foreign nationals.
What this means for foreign applicants
- Foreign applicants apply through a separate process that runs after the regular merit list is published.
- The foreign-quota seats are filled against a separate aggregate calculation that uses the same Matric 10% + Inter 40% + MDCAT 50% formula, applied to the foreign applicant pool.
- Private colleges may charge higher tuition for foreign-quota seats; check the college prospectus for the live fee.
