How many full mocks should I do in the last 8 weeks?

Asked by StudentStaff19 October 2026New1 answerAnswered

Test is in two months. How many full-length 180-question mocks are ideal, and how do I review them without wasting days?

Roughly six to eight full mocks in eight weeks, or about one per week, with the final two at exact exam timing (10 AM start if your slot is morning, on paper, 180 minutes, no interruptions).

The review matters more than the mock:

    1. Same day: mark it, and for every wrong answer write one line on why (knowledge gap, misread, calculation, time pressure).
    2. Next day: re-solve only the wrong ones cold. Re-solving the rights is comfort, not learning.
    3. Weekly: look at the pattern, not individual questions. Two mocks in a row losing 8+ marks to time pressure in Physics means a pacing fix, not more content.
    4. Raise your review intensity late: in the final six weeks, raise spaced-repetition target retention toward 0.92 so the facts you already know are certain, and stop learning new material in the last ten days.

Smart mocks that weight your weak chapters are available on the mocks page, and the 180-mark format never changes, so always simulate the real distribution: Bio 81, Chem 45, Phys 36, Eng 9, LR 9.
