What the merit trend shows

MBBSMC MBBS open-merit closing aggregates rose in each of the last four sessions. The closing aggregate moved from 80.20% in 2022 to 81.55% in 2023. It then moved to 87.80% in 2024 and 90.90% in 2025. The 2022 figure is the lowest row in this chart. The 2025 figure is the highest row in this chart.

The older candidate breaks an exact tie. 7 The JAC applies the same formula to every category of application. 7 The fact sheet states that roughly half the seats at each AJK public medical college are reserved for AJK-domiciled candidates.

Read each row as the closing aggregate for that session. Compare sessions with care. The MDCAT mark scale moved from 210 to 200 and then to 180 across recent years. The same percentage does not mean the same raw score in every row.

  6. Apply separately for each category: open merit, district quota, overseas, self-finance, differently abled or BDS. 67
  7. Fill college preferences with care. No change is allowed later. Allotment is on merit cum choice. 6
  8. Submit your willingness on judicial stamp paper within the notified time, or the admission stands cancelled. 6
