The National Assembly Standing Committee on National Health Services has praised PM&DC and the provincial admitting universities for the transparent conduct of MDCAT 2025.
Transparency praised for MDCAT 2025
The National Assembly Standing Committee on National Health Services on 31 October 2025 passed a resolution praising PM&DC, UHS, KMU, DUHS, BUMHS, and SZABMU for the transparent conduct of MDCAT 2025. The committee specifically noted the use of CCTV-monitored centres, answer-key audits, and the absence of paper-leak allegations during the 2025 cycle.
What this means for 2026
The 2025 cycle was conducted on 26 October 2025 after a 19 October 2025 reschedule, with the 180 MCQ format rolled out for the first time. The absence of major irregularities in 2025 set the procedural baseline that PM&DC has carried into the 2026 cycle, including the rescheduling of MDCAT 2026 to 20 September 2026.
