PMDC reschedules MDCAT 2025 to 26 October 2025
PM&DC has rescheduled MDCAT 2025 from 19 October 2025 to 26 October 2025, citing the need for additional preparation time for the new 180 MCQ format.
Reschedule to 26 October 2025
PM&DC on 18 September 2025 announced that MDCAT 2025 would be held on 26 October 2025, moving the test by one week from the original 19 October 2025 date. More than 140,000 candidates had registered by the announcement date.
The reschedule was made to give provinces additional time to finalise test centres and to align the new 180 MCQ format with the same provincial admitting university structure that has been in place since 2023.
What candidates need to do
- Re-check the admit card on mdcat.pmdc.pk once it is reissued; the centre, reporting time, and seat number may have changed.
- Use the extra week to revise the FSc Pre-Medical syllabus end to end. The 180 MCQ format is weighted toward Biology (81), Chemistry (45), and Physics (36), with smaller sections on English and Logical Reasoning.
