MDCAT 2024 was held on 22 September 2024 under PM&DC oversight. UHS administered centres in Punjab, KMU in KPK, and BUMHS in Balochistan. DUHS and JSMU administered centres in Sindh, and SZABMU administered federal centres.

The test was conducted under strict security arrangements. CCTV coverage at every centre was a new requirement introduced for the 2024 cycle.
