The Islamabad High Court has taken suo motu notice of alleged MDCAT 2022 paper-leak evidence and directed a fresh test to be conducted, setting aside the original results.

The Islamabad High Court, headed by Justice Athar Minallah, on 16 October 2022 took suo motu notice of alleged paper-leak evidence in the 2022 MDCAT cycle and directed that a fresh test be conducted. The Court's order set aside the original results and triggered the province-by-province re-conduct of the cycle in late 2022 and early 2023.

The order was one of the events that led to the dissolution of PMC in August 2022 and the eventual re-establishment of PM&DC under the PMDC Act 2022 (assented 12 January 2023).
